Offices and professional premises

Occupancy-driven heat gain, meeting rooms that overheat, and staff comfort that directly affects productivity. Usually cassettes into a ceiling void where there is one, wall units where there is not.

Retail, cafes and restaurants

The hardest environments. Kitchen heat, door-open trading, high footfall and long hours. Sizing generously here is not upselling — an undersized system in a busy cafe simply runs flat out and fails early.

Salons, surgeries and practices

Comfort matters commercially, and so does quiet. Unit selection and siting for low noise is a genuine consideration rather than an afterthought.

Lost trading

A cafe with no cooling in August empties. A restaurant with a failed kitchen system may not open at all. The repair is rarely the expensive part.

Compliance gaps

Systems holding 5 tonnes CO₂e or more of refrigerant carry a legal leak-checking duty with records kept. Over 12kW combined cooling, a TM44 inspection is required no more than five years apart, fines from £300.

No records when someone asks

Insurers, landlords, franchisors and inspectors all ask eventually. A folder of written condition reports is easier than explaining why there are none.

Staff comfort and productivity

Not a soft issue. An office that is too warm loses output, and it is the complaint that reaches management fastest.

Water damage from blocked condensate

I commission the system, register the manufacturer warranty for you and leave a written handover pack. Annual servicing keeps the warranty valid, and I can set that up as a maintenance agreement if you want it scheduled.
